Farm Cove Community Forest

Located near Grand Lake Stream, the Downeast Lakes Land Trust’s 33,708-acre Farm Cove Community Forest is a working landscape with seemingly endless opportunities for outdoor recreation. In the heart of a region famous for its fishing, visitors also enjoy hiking, hunting, snowmobiling, ATV riding, kayaking, remote camping, geocaching, and observing wildlife. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of the Farm Cove Community Forest in three stages between 2004 and 2008.
