Mahoosuc Public Land

Located in Oxford County, Mahoosuc Public Land includes 31,764 acres of rugged mountain terrain on both sides of Grafton Notch State Park. These lands feature rugged terrain, secluded ponds, and incredible views from numerous rocky summits. Among other outdoor recreational activities, visitors to the Mahoosuc Public Lands enjoy hiking along the Appalachian Trail, swimming in Frenchman’s Hole, and snowmobiling along ITS 82. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the conservation of 7,048 acres of land within the Mahoosucs in 2007 and 2009.
