Located between Rangeley and Mooselookmeguntic Lakes, the 1,873-acre Bald Mountain Public Reserve features a challenging, but rewarding 2-mile hike to a summit observation tower with panoramic views of the surrounding lakes and mountains. Other visitors are drawn to the reserve’s snowmobiling, hunting, and wildlife watching opportunities. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of Bald Mountain in 1993.
