Bethel Community Forest

Managed by Mahoosucs Pathways, this 978-acre community forest is part of a 3,600-acre conservation area connecting Bethel and Sunday River. A local planning committee is working on expanding recreational opportunities that currently include hiking, mountain biking, hunting, and snowmobiling. In partnership with Mahoosuc Pathways, The Trust for Public Land, and the Northern Forest Center, the Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of 853 acres of the forest.
