Crooked River Forest

A joint effort of Loon Echo Land Trust and Western Foothills Land Trust, the Crooked River Forest’s 800 acres include five parcels along a scenic, free-flowing river famous for its brook trout and salmon fisheries. These sustainably-managed forests have opportunities for hiking, cross-country skiing, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and mountain biking. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of 729 acres of the Crooked River Forests in 2016.
