Hunter Cove is home to 276 acres of conservation land held by Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust. A beautiful stretch of water, the cove and its surrounding lands offer diverse recreational opportunities, including: canoeing, kayaking, hiking, wildlife watching, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling. Hunter Cove is especially attractive as a day-trip paddling experience, particularly when wind and waves make the open lake more challenging. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of 176 acres around Hunter Cove in 2010.
