Located in Parsonsfield, the 8,603-acre Leavitt Plantation is a popular destination for hunters, snowmobilers, hikers, cross-country skiers and mountain bikers. The property, which is managed as a sustainable working forest, has more than 80 miles of recreational trails. Anglers are also drawn to Leavitt Plantation’s streams, which are prime brook trout habitat. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of a conservation easement on Leavitt Plantation in 2003.
