Brunswick’s 124-acre Maquoit Bay Conservation Area features a 0.6-mile trail that leads to a rocky outcrop overlooking the scenic bay. This municipal park offers hiking, dog walking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and hunting. Boasting over a mile of salt-water frontage on the bay, the conservation area nearly doubled the town’s public access to the water. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported acquisition of Maquoit Bay in 2007 (photo by Jerry Monkman).
