Mount Abraham

Located in Western Maine’s High Peak region, Mount Abraham rises 4,049 feet above sea level to a barren rocky summit that features dramatic views in all directions. This 6,317-acre public reserve features a challenging hiking trail which eventually connects to the Appalachian Trail. Within the reserve there are also opportunities for brook trout fishing, hunting, backcountry camping, ATV riding, and snowmobiling. The Land for Maine’s Future Program supported the acquisition of Mount Abraham in multiple purchases between 2001 and 2004.
