Parker Pond Headland

Located in Fayette, the Kennebec Land Trust’s 142-acre Parker Pond Headland Preserve features a scenic peninsula with nearly a mile of rocky shoreline. The preserve has more than 2.5 miles of moderate hiking trails that wind underneath towering hemlock forest before reaching scenic ledges high above the pond. In addition to hiking, there are opportunities to snowshoe, hunt, fish, ice fish, canoe, and swim. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of 99 acres of the Parker Pond Headland Preserve in 2004.
