Located in New Gloucester, this 147-acre Royal River Conservation Trust preserve provides habitat for raptors, songbirds, upland game birds, waterfowl, deer, coyotes, snowshoe hare, fox, weasels, beavers, porcupine, other small mammals, reptiles and amphibians. Visitors enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, hunting, back-country skiing, and other outdoor activities. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of the preserve in 2011.
