Rangeley River

Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust’s 150-acre Rangeley River Preserve has a long history of recreational use including fishing, hunting, and biking.  A popular snowmobile trail runs through this property and connects riders to the village of Oquossoc, while an easy one-mile hiking trail runs the length of the property, leading visitors to prime fishing spots and streamside picnic tables. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of a 150-acre conservation easement on the property in 1997.
