Phippsburg Land Trust’s Sprague Pond Preserve  includes 114 acres surrounding a nearly 10-acre spring-fed pond. Hikers can explore the pond’s shoreline and nearby forests, enjoying scenic views and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. One path also leads into The Nature Conservancy’s adjacent 1,910-acre Basin Preserve. Both properties are available for hunting and fishing. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of 64 acres of the preserve in 2004.
