Whaleboat Island

Located in Harpswell, Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s 122-acre Whaleboat Island Preserve features a rocky shoreline that invites exploration at low tide, a grassy meadow ideal for picnics, and three secluded campsites. Whaleboat, the largest wild island in Casco Bay, can be visited on its own by small boat or kayak or as part of a multi-day itinerary that includes the Goslings and other nearby conserved islands. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of Whaleboat Island in 2002.
