The Whistle Stop Trail winds 14 miles through the scenic hills of Western Maine, connecting the towns of Jay and Farmington. This mostly gravel surfaced trail is open year round for multiple uses, including: snowmobiling, ATV riding, hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking. The trail offers beautiful views of the region’s rolling farmland landscape. The Land for Maine’s Future Board supported the acquisition of the Whistle Stop Trail in 1992.
